Meet The Characters

Princess LanaBelle

Princess LanaBelle lived the first sixteen years of her life known as Princess CaideeBelle. On her first adult birthday she was given the choice to keep her youth name or choose a name for adulthood. She chose to be called Princess LanaBelle.

Prince Callidussimus Vulpes

His friends call him Cal. The prince is originally from the kingdom to the East on the other side of the great River of Dreams. He was sent, by his father with an army to investigate a castle on the kingdom’s Southern Border that seemed to have appeared overnight. When he reached the castle a dark sorceress turned his army into pigeons and him into a fox. Fleeing for his life he found his way to the castle where Princess LanaBelle lives

Aunt Aurora

The aunt is the queen’s identical twin. She studied under the castle’s wizard as an apprentice. On her graduation day she cast a spell on the newborn princess LanaBelle and then cast a second spell on her twin sister the queen. She was unaware that a spell cast on an identical twin halves and falls on both siblings. Her title is Master Aurora.

The King

When royalty reaches their sixteenth birthday tradition requires the King to grant one request or answer one question for your child’s first adult birthday. Princess LanaBelle’s father chose for his father the King to find him a wife. He found twins who were equally beautiful and chose the one tending the flower garden over the sister who was tending the vegetable garden. The young prince married her that very day and moved the sister into the castle as well.

Elric the Wizard

He is the princess’s teacher and friend. He is responsible for sending her on the quest to find the Butterfly Queen. He also sends messengers to assist the princess along the way. He has the title of Master Elric

B’Ghlo the Dragon

One of the oldest and wisest beings in the kingdom. In her youth she completely destroyed a castle when the king of old captured one of her eggs and encased it in glass. She cried tears of lava when she found the dead egg. She guides the princess on how to proceed with her quest to find the Butterfly Queen.

Taylor the Tortoise

She is one of the first characters the princess and Cal encounter on their quest. Taylor is very old and loves walking through the colorful fragrant flowers in the kingdom. She even has sunflowers growing on the top of her shell.

Hop-a-Long Hope & Jackson the Jackrabbit

Two carrot farming rabbits that enlist the help of the princess and Cal to save their farm from the Meerkat Army that is searching for an artifact and tearing up their crops in the process.

General Mason Meerkat

Mason Meerkat is the Commander of the Brown Battalion on detached duty assigned to the prairie lands. He is later assigned to report to the ophidian fields to battle the viper army and Aerial Crow Commandos.

Tanjin the Troll

Tanjin guards the bridge over the Great River of Dreams. He used to work at the castle for the King. Whenever the King would send his army somewhere and they needed to knock down a wall or a door they would ask Tanjin to help them. Then one day the King asked Tanjin to knock down a big tree. It was the biggest tree in all the land. Tanjin liked trees and didn’t want to hurt it by knocking it down so he refused. The king was very angry and sent Tanjin to guard the bridge and challenge all who want to cross.

Owlivia the Owl

One of the messengers sent by Elric to guide the princess at a critical point on her quest.

Chloe the Chameleon

She is a collector and a trickster. She appears throughout the quest trying to sneak things out of the princess’s backpack. Occasionally she leaves items she believes will help the princess in the future. She can appear and disappear at will.

Dutchess Nicole

She is from the kingdom South of the Savage Swamp. She was captured and placed in a jail cell for two months before being rescued by Cal and the princess. She becomes the princess’s faithful companion to the very end.

Lelia the Lily Pad Lizard

She is a lizard that lives in the Savage Swamp and friend of the Dutchess. She terrorizes the tarantula and piranha residents of the Savage Swamp by eating them when they bother her or the Dutchess.

Jimmy the Jumping Spider

He is the ruler of the Savage Swamp and in charge of the Tarantula Army. He is employed by Master Aurora and captures everyone who enters the swamp for a fee.

Kyle the Piranha Prince

He is the leader of the piranhas that live in the Savage Swamp.

Juliette the Jaguar

She is a cat that loves to run. The princess challenges her to a race with the Sapphire Compass as the prize.

Vesper the Bat

She is Juliette the Jaguar’s friend that gifted her the Sapphire Compass and guided the princess out of the dense woods.

Major Mat the Mongoose

He is in command of the Mongoose Special Forces on special assignment to the Ophidian Fields.

Colonel Ken

He is the Crow Commander of the Aerial Crow Commandos who were responsible for divebombing the meerkat army. His callsign is Pigeon Tamer.

Countess ElizaBelle

She is in command of the viper army deployed in the Ophidian Fields.

Ethan the Eagle

He is a spy that was captured by Countess ElizaBelle and lost his tail feathers. He was instrumental in giving the princess access to the Butterfly Castle of Colors.

Carter the Caterpillar / Butterfly Regent

He is the ruler of the Butterfly Kingdom in the absence of the queen.

Queen CaideeBelle

The victim of a spell cast by her identical twin sister Master Aurora. Mother of the princess who had not seen her daughter since the day she was born.
